Hes scared to do anything because you scared what other people might think about it.
Okay, maybe he really believes in something, but he's afraid to do it because of what other people think.
And what happens when our lives are based on fear?
I think they expect guidelines.
I think they expect from a teacher options.
Well, in the movie... I think they expect from a teacher to share experiences and knowledge and the wisdom that we gain from living.
And I think they expect from a teacher an invitation.
The teacher says, this is what's happened to me.
This is what I've discovered.
This is what I've made a part of my life.
I don't know if it's going to work for you because you're different from me and I'm different from you, but this is what my life experience has been.
What did he say?
He says there's two pieces in here.
How do you know there's more than two pieces.
What are you trying to do to me?
What are you trying to do?
Nothing.
You're clowning around.
Is he always clowning around?
Yeah, yeah.
Does he?
And you listen constantly to him, don't you?
You have to.
You have to.
Okay?
You're not telling.
He's not telling me.
Okay.
All right, here we go.
Oh, all right, all right, here we go.
I'd like to make somebody a clown.
I know who I am, and I'm one person, and that's Jim Nagle, who occasionally becomes Kimo the clown.
I think all of us have a clown within us.
And it's neat when the clown in the person comes out.
And when I say a clown, I mean it's that that thing inside of us that's fun, that's happy.
It's alive.
Why look so awfully tragic?
Put on a happy face.
Smiling can work like magic.
Put on a happy face.
Take off the gloomy mask of tragedy.
It's not your style.
You look so good that youll be glad you decided to smile.
Pick out a pleasant outlook.
Stick out there noble chin.
Wipe off the ball of doubt.
Look.
Slap on a happy grin and spread sunshine all over the place.
Just put on a happy face.
Put on a happy face.
Put on a happy face.
Why do you mope around so sourly?
It's such a strain.
I always try to chuckle hourly.
It clears the brain.
I knew a girl so gloomy she'd never laugh or sing.
She wouldn't listen to me.
Now she's a mean old thing.
Those friends of mine all over the place put on a happy.
So put on a happy face.
Okay, here's a coloring book.
Okay.
This is what's happened to me.
This is what I've discovered.
This is what I've made a part of my life.
I don't know if it's going to work for you because you're different from me and I'm different from you.
But this is what my life experience has been.
Isn't it a little weird?
No.
In fact, Really Maybe some of the, the clowns without the clown suits are a little weird.
No, I don't think it's a little weird.
