Learn Moreabout PBS online sponsorship(upbeat music) The name Happy Day came from my grandma.
She's always singing the happy day song.
It was just like a time to recreate her happy vibe.
My name is Galen Moorer Junior and I'm 20 years old, and I'm the founder and the owner of Happy Day Dessert Factory, one of the newest places to get ice cream on the North Side.
Got all the handmade homemade ice creams.
We got cookies, got the milkshakes, waffle cones, sundaes.
Pretty much anything you could think of at ice cream shop.
(upbeat music continues) So we make all the ice cream by hand with fresh ingredient.
Cookies and cream, got the cream with the ice cream mix.
Out of all of our ice creams, cookies and cream is the one that sells by far.
We have different sales, so today is milk and cookie Monday, so you buy a milkshake and you get a free cookie.
(upbeat music continues) Making the ice pretty much the same as making the ice cream.
We have our blue raspberry lemonade syrup right here, fresh fruit, sugar, water, throw it in the machine that mixes it all together.
(upbeat music continues) We have water ice, custard, and almond milk soft serve for vegan or lactose intolerant.
We're just hoping everybody loves the vibes that we're putting out right now.
Happy Day Dessert Factory, because everybody loves ice cream.
(upbeat music concludes)
