Clip: Season 38 Episode 5 | 3m 2s

Kelli O'Hara and Nathan Gunn explore the nuances of a landmark musical theater moment.

Kelli O'Hara and Nathan Gunn, stars of the New York Philharmonic's new performance of Rodgers & Hammerstein's Carousel, tell us what goes into bringing the famous "Bench Scene" to life. This landmark scene, in which two young lovers explore their feelings for each other, has been described by Stephen Sondheim as "probably the single most important moment in the evolution of contemporary musicals."
