Every community needs the performing arts.. I'm Jake Anderson, president of the Grand Rapids Players.
So the Grand Rapids players were first established in 1965.
Small community theater.
They did, I think Teahouse of, the August Moon was the very first of our productions, and they've had consistent run for the 60 some years since then.
We've been doing stuff at the Reif since the Reif existed.
A fantastic facility.
I mean, we're spoiled with this, quite frankly.
So we draw from the community, just open auditions.
I think that a community group, by definition, needs to be as wide open as you can possibly make it, and maintaining that within other organizations, other community groups.
That's a huge part of what I want to see and what I'm trying to achieve with my current term.
Getting tickets for Fiddler on the Roof we are selling our tickets through the Reif center portal that also there's a link on our web page.
We have a lot of families in it right now, like actual real life families that get to be on stage and playing together and performing together.
So the music for Fiddler is.
Well, first off, it's wonderful and complex.
We're fortunate enough to have a full run of musicians.
It's a relevant show, I think, at this point in time, and I think that it's been a really good experience for the players and the community to be able to put this on and do this show.
