Equity On Ice: The Willie O'Ree Academy

Equity On Ice: The Willie O'Ree Academy

The Pittsburgh Penguins organization, in partnership with Dick's Sporting Goods, is working to increase diversity in hockey by bringing young Black hockey players together on the ice. The program is called the Willie O'Ree Academy, named for the man who broke the color barrier in professional hockey. This documentary introduces us to the Academy and the young skaters who’ve found a home there.
